NCDHHS Announces Updated Launch for Behavioral Health I/DD Tailored Plans

On November 15, 2021, NC DHHS announced that it will delay the launch of tailored plans by five months. One of the reasons for the delay was that several counties chose to disengage from Cardinal Innovations Healthcare and to partner with new LME/MCOs. The department sited that over 100,000 members are being affected by this transition – “almost a quarter of all North Carolina counties and every LME/MCO.”

For providers this delay means there will be more time to submit and complete contracts with Tailored Plans. Additionally, it allows for providers to install care management model technology and test care management processes. We also believe this additional time will strengthen the capacity for Health Information Technology infrastructure across the state.

As always, OnTarget is committed to supporting our providers here at home in North Carolina as we tackle new legislation. To learn more about how you can build a better, integrated business check out our Solutions Page.
